Extrusion is a well established process which enables the production of profiles such as pipes and window frames as well as sheet and film.

 

Gas, media and water distribution are now well established major applications of extruded polymers as well as uPVC window profiles, fascia/soffit profiles, drainage pipes and guttering.

 

Film extrusion products include building membranes and packaging film which is subsequently fabricated into bags. Cling film which is now a key product used commercially and domestically for food protection and storage, has also become a common and efficient method of securing pallets of product in transit and storage.

 

Recycled redundant polymer products and scrap waste materials can be extruded into profiles including posts and planking for use in wood substitution applications where long term resistance to decay is required. It can be cut with conventional saws and screwed together securely. Products for canal bank restoration and  garden products are now being produced.
